Our Story

My name is Tatiana, and I’m the founder of Barrel Export. My passion for wine began in 2019 when I started attending WSET Level 2 classes after work. What began as an interest quickly turned into something more — a calling. After earning my certification, I joined WSET itself as Global Brand Manager, helping to expand its reach and promote wine education worldwide.

In 2020, during the pandemic, I launched my first business, The Barrel Box — a wine subscription service in the UK focused on sustainable producers who care deeply about the environment and sustainability. I built the brand from scratch, curating monthly selections by collaborating with the distributors based in the UK, many of whom were sitting on incredible wines while restaurants remained closed. It was a challenging time, but one that showed me the power of adaptability, creativity, and community in this industry.

This chapter opened new doors and led me to Bibendum, one of the UK’s leading fine wine distributors, where I worked as Trade Marketing Manager for the French portfolio. There, I deepened my understanding of the export world, working closely with producers and experiencing firsthand the complexity and beauty behind each label and every region.

In 2023, my love for Italian culture, language, and wine brought me to Milan — a move that marked both a personal and professional shift. Now, I collaborate directly with Italian wine producers, helping them bring their stories and wines to international markets, especially the UK. My focus is on export strategy, brand development, and event-based marketing that creates real visibility and connection.

I hold WSET Level 3 with distinction and continue learning because this industry is always evolving — and so am I. I love working with producers who are proud of what they do and want to grow their brands thoughtfully and internationally.
